What is the point of getting pre-approved for a mortgage?

After we have met for your Buyer Counseling Session, you’ll want to meet with a lender before you head out on the road to view homes.  There are many benefits to taking the time to speak with a lender:

  • Find out exactly what mortgage amount you are qualified for & what price house you can afford
  • Find out what your monthly payments will be and what loan programs are available to you
  • You’ll be prepared so that when you find the house you want to buy, you’ll have the documentation you’ll need to show the seller that you are qualified to buy their home
  • Strengthens your bargaining position with a seller
